I’m using version 5.1.1 of PHPSuito on PHP 5.6. However, this machine is rather old and I’m in the process of moving all our sites to something newer with PHP 7.3 (7.4 soon). As far as I can see this old version does not work on PHP 7.3, so I’m going to purchase the latest version. My question is: are my grids going to work by simply replacing PHPSuito with the newest version? Or are there major differences between 5.1.1 and the current version that will require me to rewrite them? Just trying to figure out how much time I need to allocate to this.

Hello,

Thank you very much for the continued interest on our jqGrid.

Basically the latest version 5.7 work on PHP 7.x and there is no need to do anything to convert it to it.

Of course there is not 100% guarantee that this is true, but in principle no need to change the code.

If you renew your license now again with version 5.7 you will get a separate product version 7.0 which will work only on PHP 8.x.

This is true only if the renewal for Guriddo Suito PHP Subscription License. All other licenses does not include currently this release.

Currently this product is in final steps and will replace the old one. If you go to use this version you will need to do some changes in the pages. The process of conversion is described in the package.

Currently we work on documentation and we plan to release it at end of September.

Thank you for the answer. I have purchased a new license of SuitoPHP with subscription and have received the automated email with the download link for version 5.5.5. In your message you mentioned version 5.7. Is that not out yet, or in beta?

Sorry for my error. I wrongly write the last version of JavaScript, which is 5.7.

The last version of PHP is 5.5.5 and you have the last one.
