Adding a “minWidth” option (and possilby a maxWidth option as well) could be useful for in a couple different ways:

1. You can prevent user from shrinking a column more than you is reasonable for the content that has to be displayed.

2. You can set a width which is the mimimum size sufficient to display the content, but still let jqGrid chose a better size if more space is availalble.

Any chance that this could be included?
