I am using jqGrid v3.0.rc with jQuery v1.2.3. This is the first time I use jqGrid.

If I include jqGrid with DDAcordion from DynamicDrive (http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex17/ddaccordion.htm) in the same page, then the grid fails to work. The call $(“table”).jqGrid() fails with a “is not a function” error in FF2 and IE7.

Seems like a collision of some sort, but I am not “guru” enough to sort it out. Can anyone help?

Hi,
First try to isolate the problem.
1. Does jqGrid work without DDAccordeon
2. As I see you call is jQuery(‘table’).jqGrid(options). Is ‘table’ the id of the table or just table

Thanks for the prompt reply. In answer:

1. jqGrid does work if I keep DDAccordion out of the page. DDAccordion is definitely somehow conflicting with jqGrid, but I am not expert enough to quickly see where…

2. Sorry, I was not clear, but “table” was just a placeholder in my post for the id of a table. To be more precise, I used the “Getting Started” example from this site where the table id is “list2”, thus $(“list2”).jqGrid() is the actual call. It works as lonf as I keep the ddaccordion.init() call out of the page.

Just to be even clearer 🙂

– jqGrid works fine by itself.
– DDAccordion works fine by itself.
– When both are in the same page, DDAccordion stomps all over jqGrid.

Hi,
Have downloaded the ddAccordion and have placed it in my demos. All work ok. Since I can not reproduce the problem it will be very good (if possible of course) to give me a link to this.

Updating to rev.28 fixed the issue. Not sure why, but no time to dwell on the past! 🙂

Hi,
I know what is the problem. If you look into the DDAccordion the plugin does not have any termination with ;
Since the new release added ; before the plugin maybe this resolves the problem

Yes. I noted that in your new rev and assumed that most likely was the reason.

When I diff’ed rev 8 to rev 28, I could find no other code change that would explain it.
