All the server side examples I've seen so far involve getting data from a MySQL database and sending is back to the grid using different data formats.

Are there any examples of how grid data updates the database? How is a data stream fed to the PHP script? Under what conditions is the script invoked? What parameter contains the data string used to feed back to the database?
