You can simulate this if using the new toolbar option
i.e
toolbar :[true,”top”],

In this tool bar you can add what you want.

You mean freeze columns.

I have been asked to develop a jqgrid plugin to add this fixed/frozen column feature to jqgrid. I was wondering if any one had made any progress or if any one had any ideas the best way of adding this feature.

My first instinct is to add another frozen column table to the left, match the row heights with the main scroling table and then move the frozen table using the vertical scroll events on the main table. How easy is this to add to jqgrid?

I vote Frozen column feature, too.

Because it seems that jqGrid satisfied most of all requirements to deal with huge data in table, except for this feature.

I'm looking forward to the release of this feature soon.

I agree we absolutely need column freezing to be added.
