I compiled the jquery.jqGrid.min.js file that I'm using and I saw a significant size reduction.

Saved 12.91% off the original size (7.57% off the gzipped size)

Compiled Size: 75.48KB (22.78KB gzipped)

Original Size: 86.67KB (24.64KB gzipped)
