Is there a method to check if a column is hidden or visible?

Hello,

One possible solution is to use getColProp method for a given column, to check if it is hidden.

var column =  $("#jqGrid").jqGrid("getColProp", "column_name");
if(column.hidden) {
    // do something
}

var column = $("#jqGrid").jqGrid("getColProp", "column_name");

if(column.hidden) {

// do something

}

To get all the hidden columns use getGridParam to get the colModel and loop to check the hidden columns

var colModel = $('#grid').jqGrid('getGridParam', 'colModel');
var hidden_cols = [];
for( var j = 0; j < colModel.length; j++){ 
    if ( colModel[j].hidden === true) {
          hidden_cols.push(colModel[j].name);
    }
}

var colModel = $('#grid').jqGrid('getGridParam', 'colModel');

var hidden_cols = [];

for( var j = 0; j < colModel.length; j++){

if ( colModel[j].hidden === true) {

hidden_cols.push(colModel[j].name);

}
