Hello,

When you are using cell edit, make changes clicking out of the cell saves the cell however when in inline edit mode, clicking out the row restores the row.

Is it possible to have the same behavior as cell edit, when user makes changes to cells in the row, clicking out would call saveRow in inline edit mode

Please advise,

Hello,

This depend on your implementation when a row is edited using the onSelectRow.

The demo shows the following:

.jqGrid({
    ...
    onSelectRow : function (id, stat, e) {
        if (id && id !== lastSelection) {
           var grid = $("#jqGrid");
           grid.jqGrid('restoreRow',lastSelection);
           var ic = $.jgrid.getCellIndex(e.target);
           $(this).jqGrid('editRow',id, {keys: true, focusField : ic} );
           lastSelection = id;
         }
     },
    ....
});

.jqGrid({

...

onSelectRow : function (id, stat, e) {

if (id && id !== lastSelection) {

var grid = $("#jqGrid");

grid.jqGrid('restoreRow',lastSelection);

var ic = $.jgrid.getCellIndex(e.target);

$(this).jqGrid('editRow',id, {keys: true, focusField : ic} );

lastSelection = id;

}

....

});

The command that restores the row here is

    ...
    grid.jqGrid('restoreRow',lastSelection);
    ...

...

grid.jqGrid('restoreRow',lastSelection);

...

if you replace it with

    ...
    grid.jqGrid('saveRow',lastSelection);
    ...

...

grid.jqGrid('saveRow',lastSelection);

...

the desired behavior will be meet.
