hi all,

I was wondering if are column index names are automatically passed to php when editing or adding?

Or do i haver to manually pass them through the jqgrid url or editurl options as parameters?

Column NAME is passed to url when editing.

In Google Chrome you can enable resource tracking to see what is going on behind the scene.

thanks for responding,

I have installed the firebug Firefox plugin to help me figure out what is being passed and posted.

I'm surprised that jqGrid does not post the column index names when the grid tries to load or refresh.
