To quick I responded for this.

Looking into the code I think that it is better to leave the things as they are.

It is up to developer to check these cases.

When we convert the id according to the link provided from you we can go in other issues.

Sorry, will not change it.

When using a grid as subgrid it is true that the developer must handle this.
