First of all you should verify whether you have id duplicates, which is not alowed in HTML. If for example you have two rows with the same rowid values then if you try to select one row another row with the same id will be selected. Another problem you could have is use some exotical ids like the empty string “” or undefined value.

So if you have an issue you should post the full jqGrid definition and the JSON or XML data which you use to fill the grid.
