Is there a method I can call that performs the same function as the “Reset” button in the Search Form and the “Reset” button on the Toolbar?
I'd like to have a prominent button that can clear the search after a user has dismissed the Search dialog.

If you look into the code this should something like this:
$(“#mybutton”).click(function(){
$(“#mygrid”).setGridParam({serach:false,searchdata: {},page:1}).trigger(“reloadGrid”);
return false;
});
