I have tried setting http://www.trirand.com/jqgridwiki/doku.php?id=wiki:search_config&s=custom_func#searchrules

for one of my columns, but I never see it being triggered in the toolbar search… What am I doing wrong?

These are my main search settings:

jqGrid('filterToolbar', { autosearch: true,defaultSearch: 'bw',groupOp: 'AND',searchOnEnter: true,stringResult: true });

Forgot my col model:

{ align: 'right', index: 'ResourceId', formatter: 'integer', formatoptions: { thousandsSeparator: '' }, searchoptions: { dataInit: MultiIdSearchTextBox }, searchrules: { custom: true, custom_func: MultiIdSearchTextBoxValidate, integer: true }, width: 60, name: 'ResourceId' },
