Hello all,

my jqGrid is showing all invoices. In fact, I already had a PHP page for editing the invoice together with a lot of other fields and buttons, different than the “normal” edit popup form that you get when you click “Edit” in the jqGrid.

My question is if it is possible to open the existing PHP page when I select the line and click Edit ? It should POST the ID of the invoice to be able to use the other page !

Hello,

This is possible. I recommend you to use navButtonAdd method. See docs on how to use it.

You can use jqGrid or jquery modal functions to open your form.

A simple example is in our demo

Open New in version 3.2 and then Custom Button and Forms

Hey Tony,

thanks for the help. I was indeed already on the good road towards using the custom buttons, but wanted to have it work in a fully different way. My knowledge about jQuery is too less to understand how I can convert it in my current code.

This is my grid page now (sorry, seems I can not paste code here).

I don't use jQuery directly on my page and I don't want to have the second table show on my page but the “aanpassen offerte” button should just completely open another PHP page in a new tab… Any extra help for me please ?

Oops, hope I'm not doing anything wrong ? I found a lot of the code online and tailored it to my needs.
