I'm a new user, I've just installed jqgrid 4.3.1 on my xubuntu 11.10 system, I'm playing with my first test grid which

is basically the “My First Grid” example but with a different data source and column names.

When I go to the page with the grid on it it says “No records to view” but when I click on any of the column headings the data gets loaded and is displayed correctly.
