Hi all, I'm using rownumbers:true and having negative row numbers. Here's how to reproduce it:
1. Create an empty grid (no data) with rownumbers:true
2. Add a record and trigger reloadGrid
It starts with (rowNum – 1), so if I set rowNum to 10, it will start with -9. The next added record would be -8, then -7, and so on.

Anyone have an idea for a quick fix?

Hello,

Could not reproduce.

In my tests I have the following:

1. Set jqGrid with datatype local, rownumbers to true .

2. Add record with addRowData and the trigger the grid.

All seems to work ok.

By the way which version is used?

Tony, thank you so much for taking the time to test this. I am using jqGrid 3.5.3 (all modules) + jQuery 1.3.2.

I use a remote data source (Oracle) and I don't use addRowData.

I will recheck my installation again, hope this is only my case.

Here's a screenshot of my issue:

P.S. I have found the negative numbers respond to the rowNum. So if you set rowNum to 100, you'll get -99, -98, -97, and so on.

Hello,

The most problem here is that from the first request you return page:0. Please check what you return from server

Also if you post the response I will check it.
