I notice that the subgrid does not load when loadonce = true. I'm not sure if this is an oversight, but I see no reason why it shouldn't be a supported feature.

Also, I had hoped to use the subgrid without a header bar. I don't see an option for this, but I see it's value for having a subgrid with only 1 cell containing a lengthy blob of text that can be closed away.

So can you add a grid option named hideheader?
