While working with an existing jQuery Grid i was asked to make it so that given certain conditions only one field could be editted.

After mucking arround with it for a while i found that certain fields need to be edittable for it to send the data back to the database… most of these i have got set as Read-Only, but i've been asked to make them like the other fields, the unneccesary ones i made unedittable.

So, what i want to know is, can anyone help me figure out if there is a way to have fields in the grid which are Edittable but Read-Only, look instead like a field that is Unedittable?
