.I am trying to modify the demo Loading dynamically via ajax so that I can pass a parameter from the ajax call that will act like a where clause for the grid. I don’t want to load the entire contents of the table in my application – I want to only pull rows based on the value in one of the columns (which is also the primary key). Since all of the documentation included with the 5.5.5 version of the Suite is now 12 years old I can’t figure out how to do that.
Is this even possible?

For this situation I think it is not needed to use ajax – you can simple pass the parameters to grid postData and reload the grid.
We have a demo which I think is close toy your requirement.
