Ok, and most defenetly last question for today:
Currently I am using JQGRID and I have to enclose it into JQUERY dialog to be displayed on “demand”.
Is there a better way? I have not found any references for that.

I had, and nothing usefull or I am missing something?
What I need is quite simple.
A button and an input field.
On button press a window
For your problem, maybe you will need to use onSelectRow event where you can do the job for the input and the close
Ok, I ahve used your IDEA of closing the JQDialog on onSelectRow and it worked like a charm.
It's not like it's not working, I am looking for the better way.
But, are you planing to make the jqgrid to have his own modal options or the best way is to use it like that?
Partial work is done on this. You can look into the grid.common.js – the function info_dialog
