Hi,

Let’s spouse that the fields – field1 and field2 are hidden, but you want to display this in the form.
I use beforeShowForm (in editGridRow) event this way.
….
beforeShow : function (form_id) {
$(“#field1”,form_id).parents(“tr:first”).show();
$(“#field2”,form_id).parents(“tr:first”).show();
}

Important note – There is a bug with event names – I will publish the fixed version at end of week

I will check this again, but I think your direction is right – add another option which tells us instead that the column is editable and hidden to show it in the form – this make sence.
