I'm using the popup edit form and I want to require user input on a select and validate its occurance.

Given something like:

colModel :[{name:id_sel, edittype:'select',

Hello,

Currently the field checking works only on text fields. It is difficult to do on selects – some will ask to check the key, some will ask to check the text and so on.
