I'm using grid 3.5.3 with cell editing.

I define a column with format currency or number, and I set the defaultValue to “ “

If I go into a cell and clear it, then press enter then the cell saves ok with the empty value.

If I then go back into the empty cell to edit it and I press esc to cancel the editing, I don't get the “ ” value back but 0 or 0.00 instead.

If I do a getchangedcells this change is not reflected as of course I've pressed esc and not enter.

Is there a special case with using “ “
