When inline/form editing rows, is it possible to change the data sent to the editurl?

In my specific situation, I'd like to, on submit, send the data to the url as a json string inside the post rather than the default (and so far, unchangable) value-pairs inside the POST.

I appreciate any help and hope I havent repeated a topic.
