Hi experts…

I want to implement a grid which has a column that should be readOnly when editing BUT when I am adding a record, I want to be able to be able to chose from a dropdown list a value for that column.

Is this possible? how do i do it?

Hello,

Yes this is possible. In principe you can use beforeShowForm event to do this. There are a lot of examples in this forum
