Does the setPostData method works only when posting to url (loading or reloading grid… or pagination) and does not send data when editing or inserting new records?
Is there a way to have post data added when making an insert request?

Use
var pd = $(“#gridid”).getGridParam('postData');
and the add the array dynamically to the editurl depending on wich module
do you work, inline or formedit.
