Is there a way to get current rowid within dataInit

editoptions:{ dataInit:function(element){ //get rowid } }

Hello,

Not sure what you mean, but you can get any time the current selected row with

... var selId = $("#grid").jqGrid('getGridParam', 'selrow'); ...

var selId = $("#grid").jqGrid('getGridParam', 'selrow');
...

This will give you the id of the current selected row – i.e the id of the current edited row.
