Hello,

I am using jqgrid inside a responsive div.

Is there a way auto fit the grid inside the div when size of the div changes.

I know you have setGridWidth and setGridHeight methods.

I tried to use $(div).width() and setting it with setGridWidth – it does not always properly work

Hello,

The grid is responsive if the window width is changed.

To make it responsive inside a html element you will need just to bind a resize function to the element and change the grid width.

Suppose the grid is the id of the grid and element is id of div, then

$(&quot;#element&quot;).on(&#039;resize&#039;, function() {
   setTimeout(function() {
      var ww = $(&quot;#gbox_grid&quot;)).parent().width();
      // or this can be just
      // ww = $(&quot;#element&quot;).width();
      $(&quot;#grid&quot;).jqGrid(&#039;setGridWidth&#039;, ww);
   }, 200);
});

$("#element").on('resize', function() {

setTimeout(function() {

var ww = $("#gbox_grid")).parent().width();

// or this can be just

// ww = $("#element").width();

$("#grid").jqGrid('setGridWidth', ww);

}, 200);

});
