The basics are:

[1] Hide the default add and edit buttons

[2] Add your own add and edit buttons as custom buttons

[3] Add your dialogs (forms) to appear on clicking your add and edit buttons

[4] Update your jqGrid data

[5] Update/add rows on jqGrid

Steps [1], [2], and [3] are fairly straight forward.
