Its resolved . After selecting the sort , we can not sort the data. To sort , take the grid to unselected mode . just Press enter , and then sort the data.

Hi Tony,

I am facing the same problem. setColProp is get called only once.

Can u please describe in detail , How to use this beforeInitData function ???

Hi Oleg,

I have checked the link sent by you. In that, IE6 is having the same problem of disappearing the drop downs when we open ADD/EDIT popup.

So, I have to move to the advanced verson of IE , I can not find any other solution for IE6.

Hi ,

I have tested the code in IE7 . Its working fine. IE6 is the main issue.

I show your demo , its working fine .

But my requirement is something different . You have generated the code for inline editing, but In my case I am using Edit popup that's generated using inbuilt navigator of jqGrid.
