I just want to confirm that I have made the experiences with slow speed on selecting rows. The problem could be solved with the given workaroud.

Here are some others having the same problem:

There is also an example given, which demonstrates the behaviour. Works fine with IE6, but seems to be very slow FF>3.6 (not tested any lower version).

Hi Toni,

I noticed the same problem, searched the forum and created a little demonstration. Here you can find it:

Some notices:

The problem occurs in Firefox 3.0x, in Firefox 3.6x everything works as expected.

In Chrome 3.0.197.0 (22047) and 4.0.280 same problem.

In IE6 everything works as expected.

In Opera 10.50 the last column disappears on dragStart, but appears again on dragEnd.

Hi everyone,

what is the current status of this feature? Is it possible to sort AND page on client's side? Or will it be supported in the future? I think this would be a widely appreciated feature as communication (and therefore latency) will be reduced.

Thanks for releasing jqGrid, great work.
