    Hi

I am using the strut2-jquery pugin 1.8.1. (will be upgrading shortly to plugin 1.8.2 but dont think it will fix this issue).

I posted this as a bug on the jquery plugin but it was rejected as invalid.

    Hi Tony

Thanks for your reply. The thing is I am not seeing the image frame either. All I see in the column field is the plain text:

So taking this on forward to the jquery plugin for struts. When making a call via the grid, how can this be done?

I see there is an attribute on sj:grid called onErrorTopics, do I use this & if so how can I?

The struts2 jquery showcase is fantastic, however it doesn't really give examples on error scenarios & how to handle errors when dealing with json & jqgrid. This also relates to my earlier post on how to deal with Struts global error messages.

    anyone with assistance on this?

Thanks that seemed to work fine. Thanks again. The dropdown list gets populated when I click on the column. Is there a way to ensure that its already pre-populated as the grid loads?

I think I figured out the answer to my 2nd question on the filtering. I noticed there is a parameter passed into the action called: _search. This wil be set to true when a filter is used for searching.

The 'index' attribute set in the sj:gridColumn will contain the value the user enters in the filter.
