Hello, I would like to support an ability for the user to define his own queries on the fly.

 

It should look something like what’s on the demos “Searching” > “Show query is search” –

there you have a jqgrid with results and you can filter the results using an sql created by the form. What I want is a form that will allow you to choose a table name “e.g.: Books” and then allow you to filter in a similiar way as the form on chosen table: “Books” and once done – the jqgrid will only then be created to represent your query.

This way the user may define his own queries and view them on the fly.

The question is:

a. Is there such an ability already?

b. If not, how can I reuse the filter ability that exists today to acheive my desired ability?
