Hi,

I'm new to jQuery and jqGrid.

Can anyone tell me how to get value as defaultValue for my colModel ?

I've create a function in PHP to get the value from database.

What I want to accomplish is when user click Add from jqGrid, the defaultValue run the function to get the value. So it become default value in the input.

Hello,

This is described into the documentation.

In your case you will need to use it as functuion in which you should use ajax to call the php function.

Hi Tony,

Thanks for your reply.

I'm able now to use the function to get default value. But there is a small problem, I have to click Add button twice in order to open the form. Is there something I missed ?

Here's my code look like :

colModel

{name:'servisNo', index:'serviceNo', editable:true, editrules:{required:true}, editoptions:{defaultValue: get_servisNo}, width:88, align:”center”}
