Hi,

I'm looking for an option to set columns which can contain a lot of text to auto linebreak or something similar, so all the text is visible by default.

I was looking for colmodel options, but didn't find anything appropriate – maybe I just didn't find it?

How can I achieve this?

Yes indeed, that does the trick, thanks man! I was thinking of the wrong place, now as you tell me it sounds logical to solve it in CSS and not in jqgrid
