Problem can be reproduced on the demo site using IE7.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Go to: http://www.trirand.com/blog/jqgrid/jqgrid.html

Navigate to the “New in version 3.7” single search demo page.

2. Open up the search grid.

3. Change the columns dropdown to any other field.

4. Try to change the second dropdown (operations) to another search filter.

You will not be able to select anything on that dropdown.

If you hit reset – the operations dropdown is now selectable — but I still cannot search for any other column other than the preselected one.

Any thoughts?
