This is the error message I get.

The header of the minified js file is:

2* jqGrid 3.6.2 – jQuery Grid

3* Copyright (c) 2008, Tony Tomov, mailto:tony@trirand.com

6* http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl.html

you can find a screenshot of the grid, and the json data returned from the server.

What is the cause of the error and how can I fix it?

I returned the data in xml instead of json, but the result is the same

Hello,

Be a sure that you have loaded the language file before the grid file in the head section
