I'm really happy with jqGrid, the extensive functionality and excellent documentation (world-class!).

It would be great if there were an option to set the width of each column in the grid to “auto” – that is, it would be set to the length of the maximum cell value as is typically done with

's in a table. It looks like the current code only allows a pixel width value to be set.
