I want to get a better grip on the size of the grid. How can I calculate it?
It depends on the number of columns. It is something like:
size = width + borderWidth + noCols(2 * padding + borderWidth) ?
Your documention doesnot solve my problem. I have got pages with several grids below each other with different numbers of columns. I would like the grids to be exactly the same size in pixels. Is there a way to achieve this?
after creating a grid –
jQuery(“#mytable_id”).width() – will return the actual width
more precise jQuery(“#mytable_id”).parent(“div”).width()
before creating the grid you should see (or get) the pixels of the padding and border element in the css.
That is – if td has padding 2px and border-left 1px you should add 3px for each column
