Hello from Italy ,
first of all, I must give you my best compliments for your hard work.

I try to describe the bug:
I Call jQuery(“#grid_id”).delGridRow( row_id_s,options );

from 3 different functions (3 button)… and I set differents options: different caption, different msg, different url etc ..

I save the page and try the buttons …ok ..the first time no problem ( different caption etc ..for each button).
But after I reload or re-open the page and try again, but the options not change: bcancel,caption,msg,url remain the same as those associated to the first button that I have clicked.

I can skip the problem for the “url”, but for the caption and msg options ?

p.s. no differences with IE6-7 or Firefox ..

Thank you for this. For now only some parameters can be changed dynamically that are: url, modal and toTop parameters associated with the modal. One possible solution is to check if the modal exist delete them and recreate it again. Every modal dialog associated with a delete has id = delmod+id of the grid table – i.e. if the id of the grid is mygrid – the delete window has id= delmodmygrid.

Thus before clicking the button you should check if this exists something like

$(‘mybut’).click(function(){
if $(delmodmygrid).html() != null ) {
//remove the modal here
}

//create it here with you new options

});

I will see if all the option can be changed dynamically

Thank you Tony,
for your suggestions, I have tried to look jqmodal code and other things but with my poor javascript experience ..i can’t remove the modal. But I can resolve my problems with some easy functions / XML HTTP Request object

however from my test :

– I can define/change dinamically Url or other parameters… but only 1 time.
– If I try to change a second time the Url or other options… not work.

Another strange thing
I’m working with a database of 27500 rows, via xml data ,with pages of 20rows. and a input field for “live search”

Firefox ..no problem..no error
IE 6/7 : no error but the grid is empty , number of row 0..but if I type something to search .. it work

Berus,

The url bug in formedit is corrected and I will publish 3.2 soon.
As for the the “live search” in IE you can simply check this if you run the query in separate ajax call – I mean $.ajax({url:here_the_url_from_jqgrid…}) also pass the appropriate parameters for the paging – see what is the result.

Also check if the first returned xml is valid – You can use FireBug to copy and paste the xml data. Save this in file and open the file with IE.

thank you again, for your “realtime support” !!

For the IE grid problem may be that some rows have strange chars , so IE give the problems …I have simply change from desc to asc order and ..it work.

For delgridrow function, at the end, I have modified

createModal function
and give an ID to the table row for the caption message

var mh = $(‘<…

an ID for the messagerow in the delGridRow function

$(tbl).append(“”+p.msg+””);

and insert 3 lines if the modal exist

if ( $(“#”+IDs.themodal).html() != null ) {

$(“#myhead”).html(”+p.caption+”);
$(“#mymsg>td”,”#”+dtbl).text(p.msg);
$(“#DelData>td”,”#”+dtbl).text(rowids);

It seem work now …. or at least I hope 🙂
