Thank you, that works perfectly. Its a very clever solution and it saved me a huge amount of work.

Believe me, I've looked at the demos.

    Here's what I'm doing.

I have a grid set up with selection and paging, the grid works perfectly. The problem is that I'm on a test database. I have tested the grid in production, and it turns out that running SQL to get the size of my resultsets takes far too long (like 40+ seconds).

    Here's some more info.

I am able to produce row data. That's not the problem. The problem is that I cannot query my database to give me a resultset size.

I want to use this grid, but I'm not sure of how I should do it considering that I cannot provide a resultset size to it. I guess I could lie to the grid about it, and claim that I have say, 1,000 rows when I may have many more or far less.

    Any advice?
