Well, answer is above is still not complete.
The multiselect still displays diagonal greyed lines over grid behind the modal search dialog.
This example is how we want it to work: /blog/jqgrid/jqgrid.html
We are using ui.multiselect.css, but still get this.
Can anyone help us so we do not have to spend hours, perhaps days, debugging jqGrid stuff???
Yes, the answer is *styling* per URL above.
fwiw, we found this: http://www.trirand.net/forum/default.aspx?g=posts&m=2630
Using themes version greyed out the grid before we even pressed Search.
There is no jquery.searchFilter.css in our download.
QUESTION: how does one know the development version vs. any other (production? test?) version?
Is this not supposed to be trivial to make default .navGrid search work?
This should be answered.
Last point:
– the NON-display jqGrid, #list2
1. It DOES display if at the top-level.
2. It does NOT display IF THE EXACT HTML/CSS/JAVASCRIPT/jqGRID is moved one level
Hopefully, this might tip someone off:
1. The first grid (that always displays) has a URI of http://localhost/TopLevel?sid=1119457786
the second grid displays ONLY if its URI is “one-level” like above:
TopLevel
But, it will never display if “two levels” in the URI, e.g.
TopLevel/AnotherLevel
Again,
1. Viewing both page's source in the browser: ALL the javascript is there – for both pages.
I get the same error and – 100.0% – ALL the .js files are loaded.
WHAT WAS THE SOLUTION???
above post: resolved.
doc doesn't say the parameter needs to be in navgrid first argument.
one would think addtitle would go in addparms, no?
We find many of the parameters on /jqgridwiki/doku.php?id=wiki:navigator&s[]=navgrid
