OK, I got it. I store all column widths in a HashMap in a bean I use to save session info. When the resizeStop event is fired I submit the new column size to a controller (I'm using Java and Spring) which updates the values in the HashMap.

Here are the code snippets:

It was my mistake.

We had moved the js files for the languages we are supporting from jqGrid-4.0.0jsi18n to another folder. Once I copied the js file for Danish into the directory we are using, everything worked fine.

Now I just need to see if I can get the column widths to stay set for a user session if the user resizes them….
