    For me it works now in 3.81, but I want to know what the original reason was for disabling it.

    So I can check if that is still a problem with what I did.

    I ran into the same issue using treeGrid with remote json and using beta 3.8 of the grid.

    I did a little workaround in the expandNode method where I changed:

    this.p.treeANode = rc1.rowIndex;
