With such description there are a tons of unknown things and personally I do not have so much time to see all of the unknown things to reproduce your case.

You set the function as string.
One possible solution is not to enclose it like this:
function my_value(…) {…}
function my_value(…) { …}
…

If you do not use the xml import/export functions ( jsonXML) you can omitt this module when you download the grid and use only MIT modules
In the download page you can chosse which modules to be included – i.e unselect JSON/Xml utils
