1. Some things in IE8 are changed.

2. It is quite possible that the problem is in qontent menu plugin which is used for this purpose.

In all cases I will investigate this.

Use beforeRequest event to remove this parameter. The event fires just before the request and when all parameters are set.

There are two element which should be used in this case. They are created during the grid initialization
If your grid has id=mygrid, then additinally two elements are created – one for the message and another for the overlay-
these id are as follow (suppose you have mygrid as id)

P.S in 3.5 version you do not need

imgpath: “jqgrid3.5/css/redmond/images”,

The parameter is removed and not needed. Also I will remove all these from the demo files.
