Once the grid is created you can not reorder the columns.
If you want dynamically
Use shrinkToFit set to false.

If I understand right – yes you can do this – just get all the ids of the grid and make a loop with editRow method.

In Ubuntu Linix and Windows XP (FireFox 3.5) all work Ok.

Please check your server response. If you open the console see what is returned from server. This error tell me that something is bad in your response.

No there is no fix for 3.4.x series. In 3.5 you shiould use updateColumns method. See this forum and blog.
