If you use cell edit or inline edit – the answer is yes.

I'm little confused, but I can not understand.
The simple that I can recommend is construct your own form, post the data, get the response from server, construct a array and use addGridRow method.

If you have included the xmlJsonClass when you download the grid you can use i
xmlJsonClass.toJson function
Just define the unformat function and everthing will be OK.

I think this can be done, but server side – i.e if you serch some value then you will be able to return the root node.
