I do not think that this is a bug.

The automatic selection in select box in pager is done only when the grid is initilalized

If you change the rowNum and trigger the grid the select box in pager will not change, you should make this with code.

For your information the select box in pager has a class ui-pg-selbox, so you will have a idea how to change it.
